Updated: Jul 11, 2019

Egypt is the country of pharaohs, pyramids, Nile, Cleopatra, culture, mystery and magic. It is mesmerizing in all its forms. A country full of magic, welcoming you with its sacred Nile and ancient monuments, this place is an exquisite amalgam of modernity and ancientness.

You should visit this mysterious country at least once in your life. And once you fall in love with it, you will not be able to resist yourself from visiting it again and again. We can give you some reasons to fall in love with it

1) Lost City Of Heracleion

If you are an explorer and love unraveling mysteries, then this place is for you. It is an ancient city exhumed from the depths of the ocean.

Heracleion completely submerged 6.5 kilometers off Alexandria’s coast, Egypt. Among the underwater ruins were 64 ships, 700 anchors, a treasure trove of gold coins, statues standing at 16 feet, and most notably the remains of a massive temple to the god Amun-Gereb, and the tiny sarcophagi for the animals that were brought there as offerings.

2) Blue Desert

Created in 1980 by Belgian artist Jean Verame, the Blue Desert isn’t a natural creation but a work of art. The Egyptian-Israeli Peace Agreement was the inspiration behind painting several large boulders in this otherwise barren desert region in a bright blue color, symbolizing peace.

3) Temple Of Abu Simbel

At Abu Simbel, four colossal statues of Rameses, each 20 meters high, look down upon the desert.

After the Nasser Dam was built in Egypt, the temple was briefly submerged underwater. A large effort saw it carried out and rebuilt, piece by piece, the large mountain it was carved into included.

4) Cairo’s City Of Dead

Stretching for miles on the outskirts of Cairo, the City of the Dead is an ancient cemetery that has become a residential neighborhood for some half a million people in Egypt. The community now boasts electricity, running water and even a medical center and post office.

5) Blue Hole Of The Red Sea

This “Diver’s Cemetery” lies in the north of Dahab, Egypt. It is responsible for the death of more than 40 divers. But if you have made up your mind to take a dive in Blue Hole of Red Sea, you have taken on one of the most challenging environments in diving and you will experience something truly remarkable.

6) Khan El-Khalili

This bustling market gives the ancient souk vibes. Shop owners calling you to their stalls, the scent of spices, the hustle and bustle of trade, and the many beautiful objects that can be purchased will have you lost among alleys for hours.

7) The Cuisine

Well, this topic needs a blog of its own. But Egyptian cuisine is delicious. It makes heavy use of legumes, vegetables, and fruit. But what makes this cuisine mouth watering is the abundant use of spices. All the dishes are so worth a try.

8) And Of Course The people

Egyptian people are warm-hearted and welcoming people who ensure that their guests feel welcomed and wanted. Being hospitable has been a part of their culture since ancient times. Any mistake in etiquette or customs is quickly forgiven here. They make you feel at home away from home.

Definitely, we have given you enough reasons to fall in love with this exquisite country. So what are you waiting for?
