Messi Bags Top Spot In Player Power Ranking

It does not happen frequently, when a player gets standing ovation and that too from the stadium full of opposing fans. There are moments when the fans applaud the players to boost their gameplay or on the Farewells, but the Hat-trick that Messi produced against Betis, was phenomenal and even the opposing fans couldn’t stop themselves from applauding this little master. Such recognition was enough to top the lists at the Player Power Ranking. There are several players on the list as well, the list goes on like:

On Numero Uno, there is the champ Lionel Messi, with another Hat-trick under his name- The 51st of his career- Barcelona enjoyed a comfortable win against Betis 4-1. As said, the moments produced by this fella were so amazing that even the opposition fans gave this player a standing ovation. The crowd was stunned by the goals of his and gave the appropriate reactions to praise his efforts.


2. James Rodriguez


The Columbian player who plays as mid-fielder for German club Bayern Munich on loan from Real Madrid, produced a stunning hat-trick of his own- the first oh his Bayern career, he accounted for half of the goals scored by the club. His gameplay was awesome during the match and the fans were left awestruck to his goals.


3. Wout Weghorst


The Dutch footballer scored the hat-trick for his club team VfL Wolfsburg- The first such accomplishment in his 26 year old senior career, Weghorst also contributed with a pair of assists in Wolfburg’s 5-2 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf.

This Argentinean footballer plays for the club Paris-Saint Germain commonly known as PSG, in a classic match that went in the way of PSG via a 3-1 win over Marseille, Di Maria directly contributed to all the goals scored in the match, Di Maria scored twice and also added to one assist in the match. The moments produced by the player were enough to end him up in the list.


5. Max Kruse


Maximilian Kruse a German footballer who plays a forward for the club Werder Bremen, played an important role in all the three goals that his side scored in their win 3-1 against Bayer Leverkusen, Max scored twice and assisted on another goal, this gave Max four goals and three assists in his past four games. Those stats are enough to justify his place on the list.


6. Goran Pandev


Goran Pandev is a Macedonian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Italian club Genoa. He is the captain of the Macedonian national team, and is also the country's all-time top scorer with 33 goals. In Genoa’s 2-0 upset of Juventus, Pandev played a vital role in both the goals, scoring one and assisting on another.


7. Lautaro Martinez


Lautaro Javier Martinez is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a striker for Italian club Inter Milan, heading into the derby, Milan had the form of their life and they had stepped to third spot in Serie A. A goal and an assist from Martinez later and Inter had a 3-2 win and had taken third place back from their city opponents.


8. Dries Mertens


Dries Mertens is a Belgian proficient footballer who plays as a striker or winger for Italian club Napoli and the Belgium national team. Mertens scored his first goal of the year 2019 and added to the pair of assists in Napoli’s phenomenal 4-2 win over Udinese.

10. Javier Hernandez


Javier Hernandez Balcazar is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club West Ham United and the Mexico national team. He is widely known as “Chicharito”, he came off the bench with West ham trailing Huddersfield and scored twice to provide a 4-3 win to his side.
